Glo gives children recipes for success
Nigeria’s foremost telecommunications company, Globacom has
listed honesty, integrity and diligence as virtues that children must strive to
imbibe in order to achieve all round success in life.
Globacom said in a statement commemorating 2017 edition of
Children’s Day that Nigeria is blessed with all the necessary ingredients for
its people to attain true greatness.
The company said if the children could imbibe the prescribed
virtues and apply themselves diligently to their chosen calling, the sky is
their limit. Globacom added that formal education is important and must be
pursued by the young ones in order to reach the peak of their chosen careers.
Globacom called on all stakeholders especially the
government to ensure that every Nigerian child has access to basic education
and quality health care.
“Relevant stakeholders in government and private sectors,
including parents, guardians, teachers and school proprietors as well as
religious leaders are encouraged to put in more efforts in the development of
children to enable them become responsible adults in future,” Globacom said.
The company said all stakeholders need to work towards
creating more opportunities for this growing generation while deploying
resources towards their holistic development and survival.
The company reiterated its commitment to the development of
the Nigerian child, adding that it has developed numerous products and services
aimed at child development.
“We are not just providing services for
our subscribers today, but we are laying a foundation for the future of
this country and the future of all the countries where we have our footprints”,
the company concluded.
